The Lead Engineer, Systems is responsible for sustainment of current products by reviewing complaints and requests from customers to guide & execute projects, writing requirements & maintaining traceability, and contributing to product development requirements and improved reliability.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Hardware Engineering and is part of the Hardware Engineering team located in Vista, CA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the customer complaint triage process, meetings, and audits.
• Independently own and execute reliability improvement projects; including action plans, problem-solving and verification.
• Work closely with product owners, technical leads, architects and product managers to develop a funnel of reliability improvement projects for new digital scanners.
• Facilitate communication with field-service and sales personnel directly and through documented procedures.
• Perform other duties as required by the business.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• BS or MS in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Reliability Engineering or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as an applicable engineer discipline (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Reliability Engineer or equivalent)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Ability to travel globally up to 10% of the year
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Analyzing data from SalesForce or other CRMs through PowerBI, Python, or Excel and distilling the highlights into PowerPoint presentations and talking points.
• Medical device regulations with US FDA, IVDR notified bodies, or other regulatory bodies throughout the globe.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

The annual salary range is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
